How it works

01

Upload anything

Drop your models, drawings and reports. The same file name becomes a new version automatically. Nothing is ever overwritten.

02

See what changed

Element-by-element diffs for analysis models, red/blue overlays for drawings, storey-by-storey coordination between disciplines.

03

Decide together

Every comment lives on the version it belongs to. @mention a teammate, pin the discussion to the exact element, and resolve it once it’s settled. No more decisions buried in email threads.

Everything a design review needs

Walk the model in 3D

Orbit, cut sections, isolate an element. Changed members glow amber, added ones green. No desktop software needed.

Every upload, explained

Each version is compared with the one before, element by element.

Reads the formats your team already uses

Not just stored. Every upload is parsed, compared with the version before, and explained.

ETABS

.e2k · .$et

Compare any two ETABS models element by element: sections, stories, loads and members.

SAP2000

.s2k · .$2k

Track model revisions and see exactly which members changed between uploads.

SAFE

.f2k

Slab and foundation models, versioned with the same what-changed report.

STAAD.Pro

.std

Compare STAAD files version to version, with joints, members and sections diffed for you.

IFC

.ifc

BIM models from Revit and others, compared by element and viewable in 3D in the browser.

DWG

.dwg

AutoCAD drawings read in the browser. No AutoCAD needed to see what moved between revisions.

DXF

.dxf

Layer-aware drawing comparison, rendered as a clean plan view with changes highlighted.

PDF

.pdf

Overlay two drawing revisions, red for old and blue for new, and jump straight to each change.

One workspace for every discipline

Architecture

IFC models, DWG plans and PDF sheets in one timeline. Spot the moved partition before it becomes a site problem.

Structure

ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE and STAAD models with element-level diffs: sections, stories, members and loads.

MEP

Work against the latest architecture and structure versions, with storey elevations checked on every upload.

Questions, answered

Do I need to learn a new workflow?

No. Upload a design and the same file name becomes the next version automatically. There is nothing to install, nothing to configure and no special commands. The whole team sees a clean history and a what-changed report for every upload.

Which formats does Traceset read?

ETABS (.e2k, .$et), SAP2000 (.s2k, .$2k), SAFE (.f2k), STAAD.Pro (.std), IFC, DWG, DXF and PDF. Binary models such as .edb or .rvt are still versioned and shared; export the text or IFC twin to unlock change tracking.

Do reviewers need ETABS or AutoCAD installed?

No. Models and drawings open in the browser, in 3D or plan view, on any laptop or phone. Reviewers see versions, changes and comments without any desktop software.

How is this different from Dropbox or WeTransfer?

Storage tools keep copies; Traceset reads your designs. Every upload is parsed, compared with the version before, and reported element by element. Sharing is built in too, with links that expire on their own.

Does it work on site, from a phone?

Yes. Open the latest version from anywhere, orbit the model in 3D with touch, read the what-changed report and reply to comments. Share links carry a QR code too, so handing a drawing package to someone on site takes one scan.

What does it cost?

Traceset is free during early access. You get the whole product, and early teams help shape what we build next.

Stop guessing which model is current.
